Spreadsheets for anything you're trying to make better, from a process at work to this year's garden. Each has a built-in coach that checks your work and tells you what's missing and where.
Excel 2016+ · Google Sheets · no macros
| # | Failure mode | Coach |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Wrong item picked | All checks passed |
| 2 | Item damaged in transit | Add a target date (Target date, column T) |
| 3 | Invoice sent with wrong price | Name the detection control, or score Detection 10 (Detection controls, column I) |
Every tool follows the same loop: plan, try, check what happened, and learn. Each comes as a filled-in sample plus a blank copy for your own.
Ten connected Lean Six Sigma tools in one workbook. Enter your process steps once and they appear on every tab.
Task pages roll up to projects and a program, with traffic lights set by the problems and countermeasures you enter.
Enter your frost dates once and it works out when to start seeds, plant out, sow and harvest, week by week.
The personal license covers one person. A team license lets you share the workbook across your team or use it on client projects.
For your own projects. Sold on Etsy.

Short, practical how-tos from the same way of working: plan it, try it, see what grows.
Stop arguing about colors. Let the problems and countermeasures decide.
Read the guide → Improve somethingAsk "why" until you reach something you can actually change.
Read the guide → Grow somethingSpread your squash around, split a seed packet, and keep what works.
Read the guide → Working wellA little silliness keeps you coming back, in the garden and at work.
Read the guide → Working wellPerfection is the enemy. Practice doing it badly, then improve one thing at a time.
Read the guide → Working wellEffort matters, and it works best in a situation built to help it.
Read the guide → Working wellOnce you start, most of the barriers disappear, and you often do more than you planned.
Read the guide → Working wellAccommodate yourself. The best system is the one that fits how you actually work.
Read the guide →Every tab opens with a few numbered steps. Grey italic rows are examples you can type over.
Dates, scores, lights and totals calculate on their own, so there's nothing to set up.
Each row's coach names one thing to fix and the column it's in, or says "All checks passed."
Measured Row is a one-person studio. The maker is a certified project manager and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt who treats everything as an experiment, at work and in a busy, slightly chaotic backyard garden. Plan it, measure it, and see what grows. You either succeed or you learn something.
Microsoft Excel 2016 or newer, and Google Sheets. There are no macros, add-ins or sign-ups.
They're an instant digital download after checkout. Nothing is shipped.
The personal license is for one person or household. For a team or for client work, choose the team or consultant license.
